Hey girl, happy fall!
Summer is getting away from us, and as we get closer to September, take this as your friendly big sister advice to clean out your purse before fall officially begins.
Although, if I’m being honest, fall has already begun for me. August 1st is basically the first day of fall in my book.
Here are a few simple tips and tricks to get your bag refreshed, organized, and ready for the season ahead.
Give Your Bag a Refresh
Start with the bag itself! Depending on the material of your purse, you may be able to give it a gentle wash with a little detergent and water. If there’s grime or dirt that has built up, grab an old toothbrush and gently scrub those harder-to-reach areas.
Just make sure you check the care instructions for your specific bag before soaking or washing it.
Empty Out the Summer
Now comes the part we all know needs to happen: empty that bag!
Get rid of all those old receipts, random notes, candy wrappers, and miscellaneous things that have somehow made your purse their permanent home.
I know this all too well because I am an avid candy wrapper holder.
Take everything out and only put back what you actually need.
Create a Little Girl Pouch
One of my favorite ways to keep my purse organized is to have a cute little pouch dedicated to my everyday and hygiene essentials.
You can keep things like:
- Lip gloss
- Mascara
- Hand sanitizer
- Feminine hygiene products
- Gum or mints
- Tissues
- Headphones
- Phone charger
Having everything together in one little pouch makes it so much easier to find what you need instead of digging through your entire purse.
And let’s be honest, having a cute little pouch inside your bag makes you feel a little more put together too.
Give Your Purse a Fall Personality
Once everything is clean and organized, this is the fun part.
Think about what you actually want to carry with you this season. Maybe you want to switch to a new everyday bag, add a cute bag charm, carry a new lip color, or keep a little notebook with you.
Your purse doesn’t have to be completely reinvented. Sometimes a small refresh is all you need to make something feel new again.
These are just a few simple tips to help you revamp your purse for fall, clear out the leftovers from summer, and start the new season feeling a little more organized and refreshed.
Happy fall!
